Romeo and Juliet
Description
When a classic play has been produced as often as this one, sometimes it's refreshing to reexamine it through a radically unexpected approach. Because of the laws in England in Shakespeare's days, his play was originally performed with an all-male company, which made us wonder--what insights might surface if we were to produce the play with an all-female company? In addition to eight women, expect rock 'n roll, graffiti, and contemporary dress, all of which accompany the highly combustible passion of fire, lightning, and stars.
