24-Hour Festival
Description
At 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, students are assigned to a group, given a theme, and from among them a playwright writes a 10-minute play. At 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, an appointed director from the group casts the roles and rehearses the play, fully memorized, staged, and ready (or not) for performance at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. One never knows what to expect--which can be a good thing for those who enjoy edgy raw theatre, but let it stand as a warning for those who are easily offended by adult situations and language.
